Beautiful journals made from natural stone and wood.
These gorgeous journals are wonderfully tactile and a lovely gift compared to a standard notebook. Expertly hand-crafted, the excellent craftsmanship can be seen in the flexible hinge and through the beautiful textures of both the wood and stone.
These notebooks are made sustainably. A tree sliced into veneer can yield approximately four hundred percent more useable timber than can be obtained from a tree cut into planks making it an environmentally sound choice. Many of the trees used have also reached the end of their natural lives. For example, the Fulbeck Walnut comes from Britain's 3rd largest tree, a 400 year old Walnut that sadly blew down in a storm in 2007. It grew on the grounds of Fulbeck Hall in Lincolnshire and is said to be the tree that the Duke of Wellington and Lady Georgina Fane sat under during their courtship.
