Commissioned by AUTHOR for our own collection of contemporary furniture and objects.

The Ellipse Side Tables are sculptural pieces defined by refined craftsmanship, rich materiality, and understated elegance.

Each table sits on a precision-crafted brass plinth, creating a soft reflective glow and a sense of lightness despite its solid construction. The elongated oval silhouette is designed to sit effortlessly alongside seating, offering practicality and visual softness within compact interiors.

Hand-finished and built for everyday use, the Ellipse collection balances durability with sophisticated detailing, making each piece suited to both refined residential and contemporary hospitality spaces.

Finishes:

Ellipse Smooth (£1,200) - A minimalist interpretation of the collection, crafted from 2mm mild steel with a seamless top plate and precision-engineered flange base. Elevated on a brass plinth and finished in a deep Anodic Bronze powder coat for a subtle lustre and architectural character.

Ellipse (£1,800) - Hand-fabricated from 2mm rolled mild steel and elevated on a brass plinth. Individually hand-painted in layered tones of bitter chocolate and paprika, creating a richly nuanced surface with warmth and depth.

Ellipse with Hand-Hammered Brass Top (£2,200) - The most expressive piece in the collection, hand-fabricated from 2mm rolled mild steel and elevated on a brass plinth. The hand-painted steel body is paired with a hand-hammered brass top and refined brass edging, adding richness, texture, and warmth to the sculptural form.
