  • TO TREASURE FOR EVER

  • The deer hide leather on the Charterhouse chair has been dyed to obtain the rich, red currant hue. This means that if a liquid is spilled onto it, the red pigment could lift and transfer onto clothing. Professional dry cleaning is advised for the linen fabric, avoiding trichloroethylene.
Why we love this product

We look forward, at the end of a long week, to sinking into the plump, cushioned comfort of a Charterhouse chair, G&T in hand.

This chair exudes elegant design and refinement with its gently sloping, rounded arms and its tasteful, high back.

We have upholstered Charterhouse in grey, with three vertical stripes of red currant leather detailing, one running down along each arm and a strip down the back and over the seat cushion, giving a contemporary edge.

We have commissioned the chair from Charlotte James, a family-run furniture business, with a large workshop in Edinburgh.

The company's furniture, known for its contemporary classic look, is designed and made in Scotland using hardwoods sourced from British and European suppliers. The making of each piece is overseen by a single craftsman from the team of upholsterers, sewers, polishers and cabinetmakers, which ensures the high standards are maintained.
