Handcrafted in Dundee, Scotland by Aymeric Renoud of Draff Studio as an exclusive commission for AUTHOR.

This sustainable Whisky tray is handcrafted from a new, innovative furniture-making material created by Aymeric called draff. Draff is made using the spent grain from local breweries and distilleries in the Tayside/Angus area. The barley variety used in the whisky tray is called ‘Diablo’ and grown in Arbikie’s farm in 2021 in their East Meadows field. The beautiful, eco-friendly surface pattern is created from the various grains and botanicals used to make whisky here in Scotland. It is paired with a walnut lip.

A limited edition run, the AUTHOR-commissioned Draff trays are uniquely numbered and each tray comes with a Certificate of Authentication, making this an utterly unique and special present for a whisky connoisseur or an indulgence for yourself. Personalisation is also available, e.g. for weddings where the couple's names and wedding date can be added to the base of the tray. Please get in touch if you would like a personalised version.

TO TREASURE FOR EVER

The tray is sealed with a water based varnish and oil. However, please do not allow water to sit on the surface for any extended period of time. Wipe away any spillages immediately. To clean, use a damp cloth and wipe gently. If you are going to put a hot drink on the tray, it is recommended that you use a coaster to prevent varnish damage.

If there is a scratch on the varnish, the maker can revarnish the tray for you.

Perfect for a home bar or to sit elegantly on top of a sideboard, the trays are ample enough for a bottle and a couple of glasses to sit on top.
