Individual vessels inciting emotions and feelings of family.
These miniature porcelain vessels and stamps have a meaning and specific feeling, personal to the maker, Rachel Holian. They represent and describe the relationships within families. The vessels have a simple form that is unadorned apart from their stamps. The stamp is used to give a feeling of life. All processes are kept to a minimum as the spirit and feeling of the work is captured whilst the vessel is in motion on the wheel.
The pieces are produced together, complimenting and working harmoniously with each other. The grouping together of objects, the tensions between the pieces, the relationships of vessel to vessel, of stamp to vessel, have importance.
