Creatively made in Scotland by textile designer Mairi Helena in her Edinburgh-based studio.

This round modern stool is upholstered in a neutral velvet pattern that is inspired by an enchanting ascent of a mountain path in Scotland by Mairi with the delicate, bare, twigged branches dancing in the crisp light of the snowy forest. Mairi's designs are all inspired by the Scottish landscape around her that she photographs.

The material is 88% cotton/ 12% polyester (velvet). Please note that the pattern placement will vary.

Why we love this product

From afar, this luxury velvet footstool looks like a neutral abstract pattern but on closer inspection, you can see the detail of the scattered bare tree line and wintery natural textures of the plants and snow. The round shape of this modern stool is ideal to avoid any shin-bashing and its abstract, calm colouring allows it to sit happily in both contemporary and traditionally styled spaces such as sitting rooms and bedrooms. If you are looking for a more colourful footstool then we suggest the blues and burnt oranges of Shore Waders or the pinks and greens of Hidden Garden.
