Handmade by Jennie McCall, each sculpture has different elements in shape or glaze making it a truly unique piece.

This stunning horse head sculpture which sits on a blackened oak plinth has been handcrafted by sculptor and illustrator Jennie McCall in her Midlands based studio. Jennie named this piece ‘ Clementia' who is the Roman goddess of forgiveness and mercy. She was celebrated as a deification of one of the noble virtues, in this case, Clemency.

The unadorned nature of this piece allows it to sit happily in either a traditionally or contemporary styled space. Its mane is handcrafted from porcelain feathers to give it a further ethereal feel. Jennie uses the feathers as they are symbolic of purity and grace and as an association with birds. This horse head is so beautifully constructed and has a wonderful tactile and textured surface. We recommend displaying this piece where it can be appreciated from all sides.
