Commissioned by AUTHOR for our own collection of contemporary furniture and accessories.

AUTHOR has commissioned these beautiful mohair throw blankets from Abraham Moon in Leeds, which is one of the last remaining vertical textile mills in Great Britain. Mohair is one of the fluffiest of yarns, from the angora goat’s hair and valued for its lustrous sheen and tremendous insulating properties.

This mohair blanket is available in 5 colour ways: Dusty Pink, Mustard Yellow, Slate Grey, Plum and Blue Dusk.

62% Mohair, 35% Wool, 3% Nylon.

Angora goats are not designed to be tumble dried and neither are these throws. If needed, soak the throw in tepid water and use a mild, specialist wool detergent. Gently massage the throw to dislodge dirt particles. Rinse in clean, cool water then hang or lay flat to dry.

We have commissioned the woven mohair throws in five gorgeous colours. Tones of grey, blue, dusty pink, mustard yellow and plumy purple will suit a range of interior styles and colour schemes from the traditional to the contemporary. Choose a colour to blend in with your scheme, or go bold and contrasting, depending on your mood.

Draped over furniture, the natural fibres of these throws are invitingly tactile and irresistibly strokable. Being mohair, the blankets are soft but possibly slightly itchy to the more sensitive skinned, so really better suited to a lounge chair rather than a bedroom setting.
