The Harral lamp is constructed with forged steel with a bronzed finish. It is also available in Burnt Silver or French Brass. The lampshade is in Dove satin. Bespoke options can be made by arrangement.

All wirework in Porta Romana lamps is 4mm thick and powder coated. This extra rigidity helps prevent dinks during its lifetime and allows the shade to travel well. Porta Romana stitch the side seams, a feature that is now a hallmark of a Porta Romana shade.

The transparencies of the linings have been created purposefully to give the perfect glow when lit because every silk, satin or velvet requires a different thickness.

The stand on the Harral lamp is spindly and spear-like. The shade is oval in shape and fairly shallow from front to back, so well suited to a console table in a hallway, or a bedside table, with no concerns about overhang and being caught or knocked.

The design of this gorgeous piece as a hallway lamp is truly ingenious, in that the top of the shade is covered. Which means that if, like us, you really do not enjoy looking down from the stairs or landing onto a naked bulb below then you really will adore this lamp.
