We adore the intense, rich, regal colours of the Mary & Henry fabric

One of Blackpop’s abstract, punky mash-ups printed on sumptuous, velvet fabric and inspired by The National Gallery’s collection of Tudor paintings.

Blackpop's 'Tudors Deconstructed' collection was produced in collaboration with the National Portrait Gallery, mixing details and motifs from the 16th century masterpieces with textures revealed using new photographic techniques.

Blackpop velvet fabric, digitally printed with friendly inks in the UK. Velvet: 88%, Cotton: 12%, Polyester – 45,000 rubs.

We chose Blackpop's 'Tudors Deconstructed’ Mary & Henry fabric, attracted initially by its arresting visual impact and then drawn into the design, with its multi-layered effects.

The collection of beautifully raucous and unashamedly joyful patterns challenge us to juxtapose old and new, traditional and contemporary, to take the rule book and launch it onto a large manor house fireplace.
