Designed and handmade by Roger Nathan in his workshop in Witney, Oxfordshire.

Inspired by mathematical ideas based on the golden ratio and sunflower geometries, this fascinating side table will be an attention-drawing addition to any traditional or contemporary living space. Handcrafted from solid FSC certified walnut with a marquetry veneer. The base is made from polished steel.

TO TREASURE FOR EVER

Moisture is the enemy of marquetry. Please always use coasters if placing drinks onto the surface. Spills should be wiped off immediately although the surface has been treated with a resilient, water-repellent coating. To clean, use a microfibre well-squeezed, damp cloth with a little, mild detergent. The stainless steel is most effectively cleaned with a mild degreaser but anything is suitable (no acid).

An intriguing and compelling side table

This striking side table features an unforgettable Fibonacci pattern in solid North American Black Walnut and European Sycamore. Using a combination of hand crafting techniques and computer aided design, furniture designer, Roger Nathan, has created a unique piece inspired by the kinetic sculptures and three dimensional puzzles he started making several years ago.

In mathematics, the Fibonacci numbers form a sequence, called the Fibonacci sequence, such that each number is the sum of the two preceding ones, starting from 0 and 1. Fibonacci numbers are strongly related to the golden ratio as is everyday design which is no coincidence.
