Why we love this product

Complimentary, contrasting colours.

Originally these illustrations by Robert Adam in the Sir John Soane Museum that are reworked into this design were penned for floor coverings that never came into realisation. Robert Adam was a Scottish architect in the mid 18th century, working in a Neo Classical style and is responsible for much of London's architecture today. Adam is renowned for his work at Osterley Park, Kedleston Hall and Syon House, as well as Lansdowne house, London, to name but a few.

'Fresco' in the world of painting and art is a technique of mural painting executed upon freshly laid, or wet lime plaster. Water is used as the vehicle for the dry-powder pigment to merge with the plaster, and with the setting of the plaster, the painting becomes an integral part of the wall. 'Fresco' in Italian also means 'fresh' and this wallpaper is definitely a bright and fresh design. We love how the traditional is merged with the contemporary to make something truly unique.
