FURNITURE SIMPLICITY TO COMPLIMENT EVERY ROOM

The Kerf side table and stool is constructed entirely from cork. It is constructed from just two sheets of agglomerated cork, itself a by-product from the corking industry in Portugal. Using a simple cylindrical structure, the piece is finished by wrapping a fluted cork sheet around the outside.

The top surface of each stool and table is fully removable, allowing the top to be easily swapped for an alternative size, material or to be repaired/resurfaced.

The outside design comes in three variations, straight cut, fluted+straight or grid+straight available in natural cork. Each piece is sealed with a matt lacquer that brings out the grain of the cork, and protects against spills.

I think it’s the sculptural fluting of this cork side that is so pleasing. Will has captured all the good things in cork … its warmth and tactile nature as well as its ability to be carved so crisply. A very adaptable piece; bedsides or bath sides it would be equally at home.
