Exquisitely handcrafted in Edinburgh for AUTHOR's beautiful collections.

The Mergus chair has been made in a walnut wood finish on walnut timber. Seen here upholstered using blue leather. We have many leathers available to upholster this piece. Samples available upon request, please get in touch to let us know what tones you are looking for. If you would prefer to upholster this chair with your own fabric, we would need 2 square metres of leather or 1.5 metres of fabric.

  • For spills on the leather, wipe with a clean, absorbent cloth or sponge. If necessary, use a lightly damp, soft cloth with lukewarm water and let it air dry. Do not use soap or soak the stain heavily. Do not use cleaning solvent or abrasive cleaners. Should a stain persist then cleaning by a professional is advised. Be aware that direct sunlight can fade strong colours of leather.
Why we love this product

Add a pop of vivid blue.

We have chosen to add to our collection the Mergus chair from Charlotte James mainly due to the fact that it is so supremely comfortable.

But we didn?t just chose Mergus for ergonomics alone - it is also a most striking chair to behold, in the vivid ?canard? (duck) blue upholstery.

The back of the chair is interesting too. It is not upholstered, which exposes the ?hardwood engineering? flowing in a seamless line down into the chair leg.ÿ
