Neo 13 Wallpaper by Blackpop for AUTHOR's collection of British-made luxury and unique furniture and homeware accessories

Regular price £250 Sale

Printed in the UK by the talented team at Blackpop.

Blackpop have collaborated with the Sir John Soane's Museum to create this opulent statement wallpaper. Motifs have been dismantled and rejigged from Sir John Soane's and Robert Adam's architectural drawings as well as a sketch for the ceiling of the Queen's State Bed Chamber at Hampton Court Palace, 1715, by Sir James Thornhill. This abstract art wallpaper design will bring you joy every time you set your eyes on it.

The Neo 13 Wallpaper is digitally printed in the UK with environmentally friendly inks (no formaldehyde) on coated, non-woven paper. Please get in touch if you would like a sample, a small fee may incur.

Why we love this product

Abstract exclamations of texture, surface and pattern.

From afar this gorgeous wallpaper is a fun and abstract design but on closer inspection the ornate and intricate details can be seen. The motifs from Sir John Soane and Robert Adam's architectural drawings can be seen in the background with motifs of a sketch of the ceiling in the Queen's State Bedchamber at Hampton Court Palace by John Thornhill in 1715 can be seen in the foreground.

The layering of the two evokes the way one might find in a historical home layers of paper and paint built up over time and waiting to be uncovered. Traces of different centuries and eras combine together to say something new. Neo 13 reminds us of the Mary Wallpaper that is also available in our collections from Blackpop.
