Made exquisitely in the Jake Phipps workshop in North Yorkshire.

The barnacles that decorate this luxury console table were 3D scanned from the original specimen of the Balanus Poreatus barnacle; collected in 1921 for the Natural History Museum, London. Once scanned and edited, the barnacles are cast in gold lacquer in various shapes and sizes to ensure that every piece that is adorned with this decoration is unique. The barnacles can also be placed to an individual client's needs. The table is finished in a high gloss black lacquer. The drawer of this eccentric designer console table has a gold interior finish.

An eclectic designer console table

This luxury console table is a truly unique design. Exquisitely executed, its quirky unusual adornment of gold barnacles gives it an other-worldly and fanciful feel. We love that the barnacles have been 3D cast from a real specimen collected by the Natural History Museum.

The design is inspired by objects that have been left exposed to the elements in the sea. Incrustations take over and covering its outer shell with a layer of their own skin. The contrast of the high black lacquer and gold works elegantly to make a real statement piece in your sitting room or hallway. The barnacles can be placed to a client's specification to make this a wonderful, customisable piece.
