Inspired by the silent and unpredictable transition into the beautiful Scottish Springtime.
Iona Crawford always finds the most wonderful places to draw inspiration from for her designs. Bluebell Forest is a design created from a painting Iona made after photographing and studying the bright, weather-beaten, rust speckled doors erected by her farmer father to protect his newborn lambs from the harsh Scottish elements. Entitled the Secret Door Collection, influence is drawn from rural countryside living, lofty barns and authentic, agricultural Scottish craftsmanship.
Bluebells, or 'harebells' as known in Scottish folklore, are a delightful symbol of humility and gratitude, timely as they emerge in Spring when we appreciate the warmer weather and longer daylight. This design with its gentle colour way and sheer elegance is ideal for minimalist styled spaces such as bathrooms, hallways and bedrooms. As this pattern has a milder colour tone, it would work not only as a feature wall but on all walls in a room.
