STUNNING WHITE TEASET WITH GOLD INLAY

The set is inspired by a fusion of Japanese and Scandinavian aesthetics with a desire to create something that is simple, beautiful and yet has a hint of luxury with the gold inlay.

This beautiful tea set has been hand-thrown on the wheel in white porcelain with the teapot handle made of brass. The inlay in the teapot has been created using a similar technique to the Japanese art of mending cracks (Kintsugi) – this involved the application of Japanese lacquer followed by gold powder which is then burnished. The cups and teapot are then glazed on the interior surfaces with a transparent glaze. This piece can also be bespoke.

Steve was a winner of the AUTHOR's Choice award at the New Designers Selects show in Summer 2023. ND Selects is a curated space at New Designers dedicated to shine a light on new businesses in the design industry. Steve's products are featured on the AUTHOR website on a not-for-profit basis.
