Draff luxury drinks tray by Draff Studio for AUTHOR Interiors' collection of sustainable luxury barware

Handcrafted in Dundee, Scotland by Aymeric Renoud of Draff Studio as a special commission for AUTHOR.

This sustainable drinks tray is handcrafted from a new, innovative furniture-making material created by Aymeric called draff. Draff is made using the spent grain from local breweries and distilleries in the Tayside/Angus area such as 71 Brewing Co and Arbikie. A beautiful, eco-friendly surface pattern is created from the various grains and botanicals used to make beer, gin and whisky here in Scotland. It is paired with a walnut or ash lip.

A limited edition run, the AUTHOR-commissioned Draff trays are uniquely numbered and each tray comes with a Certificate of Authentication, making this an utterly unique and special present, or an indulgence for yourself. Personalisation is also available, e.g. for weddings where the couple's names and wedding date can be added to the base of the tray. Please get in touch if you would like a personalised version.

If you are ordering for delivery to an international address, you can check-out now and buy online in your local currency to secure your purchase, which will be zero VAT rated thereby reducing the price you pay by 20%. Currency conversion charges apply. Thereafter, the AUTHOR team will contact you promptly to complete your order by providing a shipping estimate, which will be charged separately by AUTHOR. Be assured, AUTHOR have negotiated competitive international shipping costs from reliable couriers. Please note, you may need to account for import VAT, duties/customs to the country being delivered to; AUTHOR is here to help with this. TO TREASURE FOR EVER

The tray is sealed with a water based varnish and oil. However, please do not allow water to sit on the surface for any extended period of time. Wipe away any spillages immediately. To clean, use a damp cloth and wipe gently. If you are going to put a hot drink on the tray, it is recommended that you use a coaster to prevent varnish damage.

If there is a scratch on the varnish, the maker can revarnish the tray for you.

We love that these luxury drinks trays are exclusively made for AUTHOR in our local area and are handcrafted sustainably. Perfect for a home bar or to sit elegantly on top of a sideboard, the trays are ample enough for a bottle, a few glasses and a bowl of nibbles to sit on top.

Aymeric is doing inspiring work using environmentally friendly means to create luxury furniture and homeware pieces. The surface pattern is different with each piece due to the variety in spent grains and botanicals, making each one truly unique. A whisky grain variation will be available soon which is fitting for the whisky collector and enthusiast in your life.
