Charlotte James is synonymous with high standard quality which is why we have commissioned this chair from them.

We have chosen to finish the Wilf chair in the softest red deer hide, which contrasts beautifully with the cool grey linen which cups the chair and its occupant around the back and sides.

This is an incredibly useful chair which can be placed in a sitting room or snug. It’s wide, low slung proportions suit the shorter rather than the longer limbed occupant, and especially one who likes to sit cross-legged.

The armless design makes it easy to reach across to a conveniently placed side table for a Friday evening whisky. And after a dram or two more, there’s ‘room for a small one’ to sit alongside, (good friends only, we are British don’t forget).

The soft deer hide makes for an extremely comfortable seat, supportive yet squashy. So comfortable in fact that you might like to ask very nicely for someone else to fetch that second whisky.

  • Commissioned by AUTHOR for our own collection of contemporary furniture and accessories.

Arms-free chair in red currant deer hide and 100% upholstery grade grey linen fabric: 50,000 rubs. It is a low standing chair on elegantly tapered dark oak legs.

This chair has fixed seat and back cushions.

Should you prefer to choose your own upholstery finish, we would be delighted to work with you on this. The chair would look equally stunning in a range of fabrics or leathers and combinations of materials.

  • The deer hide leather on the Wilf chair has been dyed to obtain the rich, red currant hue. This means that if a liquid is spilled onto it, the red pigment could lift and transfer onto clothing. Professional dry cleaning is advised for the linen fabric, avoiding trichloroethylene.
