- Keep dry. When cleaning use a soft cloth to polish. To boost shine, apply a small amount of clear beeswax polish and buff to a shine. Smoke fired ceramics are not food safe.

Like a beautiful pebble from a moody British shore
These stunning smoke fired pieces by Wayne Galloway are inspired by the surrounding landscape, geology and natural textures found around the coastal town of Crail in Fife, Scotland where Wayne is based. Terra Sigillata was used by ancient civilisations to seal their pots. It completely transforms the clay and produces and beautifully smooth, shiny surface. These gorgeous pieces stir up memories of beach-combing as a child and finding the best pebble to skim the water with. The smooth exterior is pleasing to the eye and touch. As these pieces are smoke fired, the surface pattern is sporadic and unique making these truly individual ceramic pieces.
